This morning we chose to work on the presentation that we are going to deliver to a group of teachers (some of them are also from England). Andrea and Max (one of the HTH students that we are working with) suggested we make something. After a short talk we came to the conclusion that we would display the main questions and ideas as big cardboard cut-out question marks signs.
In the afternoon Ed and Mr Knowles spoke with Antony Conright who is a 6th grade teacher, asking him about day-to-day life at HTH. If you would like to know more about this see Ed's blogs. While they were talking to Antony, Charlie and I got to watch a teacher go through class expectations while working on their projects. She did this by having a group discussion with her class. On the board she had two columns with 'what a classroom should look like' and 'what a classroom should sound like'. It was done as a group discussion so hopefully the students feel like they are rules that they have thought up. I feel the students will be a lot more obedient to this rather than being told what the rules are.
